Goodbye money...

I was at Best Buy today looking for gift ideas when I noticed they had a 24" widescreen LCD for 299.00.... I bought it.

Its got one dead pixel... but its not to bad.

Bah

 So I started a load of whites in the washer and went back to playing Eve-Online. An hour went by and I thought, "Oh I better move those to the dryer!"

 I opened the door to the wash room and I was greeted by the smell of fried electronics. Which immediately spread throughout the apartment. The washer had filled with water, started the cycle then died a few minutes into it.

 Since there was a burning smell I thought, "Holy crap!". Next I though, "I had better call the emergency maintenance number for my building." So I called and this is what they said!!!

"Since there is no visible fire or bellows of smoke then this is not an emergency"

I wanted to let the lady know how dumb that was but I resisted the urge. They should have sent someone to at least take a look. There could ( and still could be ) smoldering action behind the unit that I cant see. Could be lint, dust, a belt... anything. Hmmm... If I die in a fire while I am sleeping then let it be known that I died with clean underwear on. 

She transferred me to the main office's voice mail and I let them know that my washer may be on fire and they should stop by in the morning.  Ha

Hello

I have added 2 Crayfish to my Aquarium. One of them is pretty active while the other hides. Its either going to molt soon or is dieing. This is why I waited until I found "regular" crayfish. The Blue ones are $30 for one. These guys were $6 for one. When they fight with each other this is the music I hear in my head.

Ah they put the lead position into review until next year. Meanwhile I am doing the lead job for not lead pay :|

Under 200!

Today I am under 200 pounds!

A long time ago, in what seems like another life, I quit smoking. In the following 3 months I gained 50 pounds and have never been able to get rid of it.

At the rate I am going I should be back to where I was ( 170-ish ) before I stopped smoking in another month and a half.

This good news is a welcome change. These past few weeks have been rough.

Do Something

I have found myself with more free time then I am used to. This seems like an excellent opportunity to get in shape.

I bought a bike yesterday and a car rack for it. Maybe I should have bought a padded seat... my butt is killing me! There is also a workout room in the building which is nice for those rainy/windy days.

Ok so scanning these giant x-ray film sheets will be harder then I thought. Maybe someday...

I found out that I can buy copies of the CT scan for $30.00. As soon as I have them Ill get them scanned in, somehow, and posted.

Da Cookie

Maybe I was meant to open that cookie on my death bed... cause it isnt working.

There has been a crown, followed by weeks of pain.

There has been a sinus exam with a CT scan ( later today ). At least they didnt shove this up my nose while I was there!

Finally! Its about time!

Spring Flower Show

Jennifer and I went to Como to see the spring flowers... unfortunately everyone else decided to go at that same exact time!

MRE continued...

Overall not that bad...

The chili was good, it had a sweet flavor to it. The pilaf was kinda dry and the crackers with grape jelly were OK. By the time I got to the cookie I was already full but I managed to get it down. The coffee doesnt smell like coffee, or taste like coffee. But I am looking forward to the fruit punch powder later.

New Fish Tank

I got a new fish tank. Its a 20 gallon long. I cant wait for it to cycle so I can get some other fish!
